José Carlos Romero is an associate who works in CCN’s office in  Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, where he has worked since 2017. Previously, he was a senior associate at a local boutique law firm from 2008 to 2017. His practice focuses on cross-border transactions, corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, real estate law and foreign investment. José Carlos has participated in and led numerous mergers, acquisition and financing transactions with Mexican and foreign entities.

José Carlos obtained a law degree in 2009 from the Universidad de Guadalajara, where he graduated with honors with outstanding grade point average performance as one of the top ten students in his class.  He thereafter obtained his Master’s Degree (LL.M) in American Business Law and International Transactions from Northwestern University’s School of Law in 2014. José Carlos obtained a post-graduate degree in Energy Law from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in 2016, as well as a post-graduate degree in contracts and obligations from the Universidad Panamericana (2013).
