Sergio is a partner of the firm with which he has been working since 1997. His practice includes working with clients mainly from the United States, Canada, and Mexico, in international and cross-border commercial and finance transactions, structuring and closing sales and purchases of companies and businesses, joint ventures, secured financing, strategic alliances, and international investments.
Sergio has extensive experience representing companies from different industries in their international and cross-border businesses, matters, and projects, with extensive knowledge in several legal disciplines. He also represents family offices, businesses, and investments. He participates as Board Member in several companies. Sergio leads the legal strategy of several relevant projects of the firm from time to time.
Sergio is the head of the firm’s Banking & Finance Practice Group. Mainly represents lenders, such as US, Canadian and international banks, financial institutions, and private companies, structuring, documenting, granting loans, and perfecting security interests in Mexico. He also represents borrowers and guarantors in the negotiation of loan and security agreements and documents, as well as issuing legal opinions to banks and financial institutions. For many years, Sergio has had broad and extended experience representing clients in international finance transactions, such as revolving credits, term loans, asset-based loans, project finance, and collateral transactions.
