Cacheaux, Cavazos & Newton

The firm was founded by René Cacheaux, Daniel Cavazos, and Joseph B. Newton in January 1994, with offices in San Antonio, McAllen, and Mexico City. The founding partners had many years of experience representing global clients in complex business transactions, particularly in  advising clients in Mexico and the United States. As trade ties between the NAFTA signatory countries of Canada, Mexico, and the United States grew, CCN expanded its geographic presence and the scope of its legal services.

Today, CCN advises leading companies in the automotive, electronics, real estate, textile, energy, agricultural, and general manufacturing sectors, among others. In recent years, the firm has grown by offering legal services to Mexican and other foreign investors engaged in commercial and investment activities in Texas and throughout the United States.

Principles

International

CCN is an international law firm that serves clients in transactional and litigation matters. The firm also works with attorneys worldwide to fulfill its clients’ needs. Likewise, CCN maintains ties with lawyers and firms around the world, working collaboratively to meet the needs of a wide range of clients.

Social Responsibility

CCN and its attorneys are good corporate citizens, involved in and supportive of the communities where they operate. The firm strives to disseminate timely, accurate and practical legal knowledge through its publications, and works actively to establish relationships with local organizations that promote professional cooperation, culture, the arts, wellness and sustainability.

Meritocratic

CCN was founded on the principle that objective merit is superior to subjective or personal considerations.

Collective

The firm’s strength comes in large part from valuing the combined talents and virtues of its team members over the attributes of any individual or group of individuals.
