In connection with our CCN Newsflash published on November 3, 2025, entitled “New Guidelines for the Land Transportation of Hydrocarbons in Mexico”, we hereby inform you that the National Energy Commission (“CNE”), published a press release on November 12, 2025, through which it extended until December 31, 2025, the deadline for the compliance of obligations regarding the beaconing of vehicles.

According to said press release, the purpose of this extension is to provide greater certainty and adaptation time to carriers and competent authorities.

Furthermore, this press release it is clarified that the verification of compliance with these requirements is of a federal nature,. Therefore, no state or municipal authority has supervision or inspection authority regarding this matter.
