Mexico’s Taxpayer Ombudsman Announces Important Changes to Filing Procedures

Share

The Mexican Taxpayer Ombudsman agency (“PRODECON” by its acronym in Spanish) has notified taxpayers that, to streamline and expedite the filing of Final Agreements and Complaints, as of September 1st, 2024, the only methods for filing of such Final Agreements and Complaints will be through the new Electronic System for the Receipt of Requests and Services (“SERSE” by its acronym in Spanish), or in person at  the PRODECON’s offices.

The SERSE seeks to provide greater benefits to taxpayers, including extended hours for receiving filings (from 9:00 A.M. to 11:59 P.M.), and avoiding the need for taxpayers to travel to PRODECON’s offices, among others.
